In Changing Rooms, the intact dressing rooms in a once retail space are used for a site specific installation. The two dressing rooms each have a ‘mirror’ with ornate gold gilded frame containing rear projections of myself, trying on stereotypical dress of a business man, gas station attendant, cowboy, and hip-hopper among others. With each outfit I begin to explore identity through the façade of fashion and contemplate the impact our appearance has on others perception of the individual. |
